My testimony begins in 1999, when my mother was hospitalized. Sadly, she never came home and passed away in the hospital. I honestly believe that if anyone could enter heaven, it was my mother. She endured so much in her life, yet she never let go of her faith, and she helped keep that faith alive in us. After she passed, my dad would spend hours in her bedroom reading the Bible, searching for answers and comfort. His Alzheimer’s and dementia began to worsen after she was gone, and 11 months later, he went to be with her. After losing both of my parents, my cousin and her daughters invited me to church. At first, I was hesitant, but then I found out that one of my childhood friends attended with his family. About five months later, in December 2000, I accepted the Lord as my Savior and was baptized shortly thereafter. Since beginning my journey with the Lord, my path has not always been easy. It has been bumpy at times, but I am still here. I am blessed with a beautiful family and grateful to be in a place where, with the Lord’s help, I may be able to have an influence in someone’s life. My journey continues.
